COVID-19 UPDATE:

We are closely monitoring the updates surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak and we want to share what SunDog Therapy is doing to keep all of our families safe and healthy. We will be following recommendations from the CDC, California Department of Public Health, Orange County Health Care Agency, and the Orange County Department of Education.

As of March 17, 2020, SunDog Therapy will be temporarily closed for in-person appointments and switching to virtual sessions if appropriate. We will send out an update when in-person sessions can resume. We are taking precautions so everyone can stay home as much as possible in order to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our community.

For our OT clients:

  • Telehealth/teletherapy sessions will take place using a HIPAA compliant platform. Teletherapy may include the therapist demonstrating activities first and then observing and providing feedback as clients perform the activities, directing parents to implement home programs, or consulting with clients/parents to problem-solve situations and plan activities to maintain progress towards therapeutic goals. These sessions may last between 30-60 minutes, 1-2 times per week. More details will be provided about teletherapy on a case-by-case basis.

For our recreational class clients:

  • For any cancelled classes, we will give you credit towards future classes.
  • We are now offering virtual private lessons for kids/teens to train their own dogs at home.

For our dog training clients:

  • Virtual dog training sessions can be conducted online via FaceTime, Zoom, Skype, Google Hangouts Meet or similar video platform. If you are spending more time at home these days, this is an opportunity to bond more with your dog through training and enrichment.
